Our People
Cal Northrop
Owner/President
Cal was born and raised in southern California. He graduated from Agoura High School in 1982; after winning the “Chrysler Trouble Shooting” contest. He started working on his father-in-law’s modified stock car and was bitten by the racing bug. In 1993, he decided to move to North Carolina with his wife, Doreen and two sons Kevin and Kyle to pursue a career in NASCAR.
He worked for a Late Model Stock team earning the “True Value Gold Wrench Award” in 1994; later moving on to work for several Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Truck teams before starting Full Travel Innovations in 2003. He took the knowledge he attained from twenty plus years in NASCAR racing in the areas of suspension and chassis design, fabricating, engine and carburetor tuning and applied that knowledge to the motorcycle industry.
To further his knowledge in the motorcycle arena in 2007-2008 Cal managed the Bad Boy Racing SX/MX team with riders; Jeff Dement, Brock Sellards, Jake Marsack & Jeff Alessi. Today with a state-of-the-art shock dyno, a new shop and knowledgeable technicians, he has all tools necessary to be a successful full service motorcycle shop. He is the visionary behind Full Travel Innovations and his main goal is customer satisfaction, regardless of rider experience or type of riding.
